Hi Bindi! Yes, I think someone else also omitted it! You can up the vanilla to 1 1/2 teaspoons if you guys like a little extra vanilla in your cookies 🙂

By: Deb https://littlespicejar.com/pecan-shortbread-cookies/#comment-95647 Fri, 18 Dec 2020 20:29:35 +0000 https://littlespicejar.com/?p=35080#comment-95647 Made these this week, omitting the maple extract.  They were easy to pull together, and it’s so nice to be able to slice as many as I need off the log to have them fresh out of the oven.  I found for us that the optimal thickness is just shy of 1/2 inch, as opposed to the 3/4 inch stated herein.  That reduction in thickness did not change the baking time for me.  Great recipe!
